Sclavo Free Protein S is a latex immunoassay (LIA) for the quantitative determination of Free Protein S in human citrated plasma. Protein S deficiency, either congenital or acquired, may lead to serious thrombotic events such as thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis, or pulmonary embolism. A decrease in Protein S is associated with increased incidence of thromboembolism. The device can be used both with manual or automated methods. CONTAINS CALIBRATION PLASMA
